As a supervisor, my hope is that you obtain knowledge, hone your skills, enhance your clinical intuition, and develop the insights to support client in an ethical and competent manner. I draw ideas from the Integrative Development Model of Supervisor and Direct Practice principles. I view the supervision relationship as a critical component to meaningful work, just like between therapist and client. I see my role as the supervisor to be educative, supportive, and administrative. My hope is to help associates connect with their intuition and countertransference as ways to sharpen their skills for the therapeutic processes they will walk clients through.

Here is information to BBS's requirements for licensure.

FAQs

What type of license do you possess?

I maintain a current and active California license (LCSW #103035) and Oregon license (LCSW # L14326) that are not under suspension or probation.

Have you met all the requirements to be a supervisor?

Yes, I completed the 15-hour course in supervision in 2023 and again in 2024. I meet all BBS requirements to supervise associates.

Who can you supervise?

I can supervise associates seeking an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT license.

How long have you been supervising clinicians?

I have been supervising since 2023. I began working with MSW student interns in 2017.

Do you practice from a particular theoretical orientation?

I draw mainly from Emotional Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also taken an extensive course at California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and hold a Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research. I will NOT supervise any associates seeking theoretical frameworks not listed in this section. For example, if you are seeking supervision for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I will not and ethically cannot supervise you as I am not trained in CBT.

Do you have any specialty areas of practice?

I view mental health and wellness through a social justice lens that is attentive to issues of race, culture, gender identity, and sexual orientation. My main focuses are grief and loss, navigating the United States from a multicultural perspective, and generations impacted by forced migration especially war-related. I also focus on childhood trauma and how those traumas are impacting your functioning in present day.

Do you provide group supervision?

I do not provide group supervision at this time.

What are your fees?

Please contact me for more information regarding fees.

Do you offer supervision online?

Yes, I provide supervision through a secure video platform (Simple Practice) and will do so as long as the BBS continues to approve this.
